A Bit About The Marlborough Wine Region
Located in the north east of the South Island of New Zealand, Marlborough is by far the largest wine region in New Zealand producing just under 80% of New Zealand Wine.




Vines were first planted in Marlborough in 1973, therefore the region is young and still expanding.
By 2018 there are over 30,000 hectares or 75,000 acres of producing vines in Marlborough and the region is currently still planting more!
Marlborough New Zealand is known for producing a fresh, fruity and vibrant Sauvignon Blanc, accounting for over 85% of the wine production in the region.
